In a few short months Gray Caws and Chi Running have changed my life.Cat Townsend

I just wanted to say thanks so much for a wonderful day on Sunday. I feel like it was a real lightbulb moment. Your workshop was so gentle and focussed, but so powerful. I am now evangelising all over Tottenham.Hazel Gould

That's why I went out and hired someone who I think is the best running coach in the UK – that's you Gray Caws! Cat Townsend, training for the New York Marathon November 2014

Thanks again for your very useful tips, your great insights and your enthusiasm yesterday. I think I was lucky to have you as an instructor. You turned every exercise into a learning experience that was fun to do. You're an excellent coach: relaxed, patient, blending sharp observation with empathy. Shame you live so far away. Theo Tamis

Thank you very much for your wonderful instructions and fresh perspective. I learned a lot about myself today! Danny Lie

Gray is one of the most likeable, respectful and professional PTs around. Whereas most are spending time concentrating on themselves, Gray's focus is for his client only. Dominic Lourie

What struck me most was how logical Chi Running is. What Gray explained in practice made perfect sense... After one session something definitely shifted and my approach to running has changed. Rhalou Allerhand –

Everyone in London who runs should go and visit @graycaws he is really cool Rhalou Allerhand Editor

Gray – Thank you. Your 1-day workshop helped me 'learn' to run. A lifetime of being overweight and never even running for a bus to 7 months of injury-free training and the London Marathon. Amazing! Sharon Keaney

If you're looking for a coach you want someone who is going to listen to you as well as tell you what to do and Gray is that kind of guy Matthew Wallden, CHEK practitioner, osteopathy and UK distributor of Vibram Five Fingers

If you are looking for an open mind, want full attention, crisp explanations, sharp observation, and friendliness go no further – this is your man! Thierry Lerinckx Chi Running Instructor Candidate in Training

Gray changed my life within the first 10 seconds of seeing me run! I have been a serious runner since childhood but had all kinds of injuries. Then in my mid 30s I started getting calf tears more and more regularly. I tried everything to no avail. Someone put me onto the Chi Running book, which helped somewhat but not completely. Then I discovered Gray. Within 10 seconds of him watching me run he spotted things that no book could. He transformed my running immediately, and each week improves it further. I can now run as far as I like in complete confidence that I won’t get injured. Thank you Gray! Richard Thomas.

The Chi Running you taught me really helped pay dividends in last Sunday's Chester marathon. After 14 marathons and 8 years of trying, I finally went sub-3. To be precise 2h 56m 54s! I'm still buzzing! Thanks for all your help and advice!

I trained with Gray for the 2013 London Marathon and can't recommend him enough. His training plan was revealed in a weekly basis depending on my training had gone that week – all about gradual progress, not pushing your training too fast and always calm and encouraging whatever setbacks I encountered on the way. Thanks Gray Emma Ross

It really was a fantastic day. I took far more from it than I could have hoped for thanks to the excellent teaching practices. An added bonus was how much fun it was as well, superb! Elaine Dixon – Chi Running Workshop Manchester 29/09/13

It was the first time coming home from a 3 mile run that my legs felt fresh rather then tired! Heike Mechler – 1-day Chi Running Workshop, 14 Septmber 2013

Came to your Monday session last week, just thought I'd let you know I finished my first half marathon today in 1 hour 34 minutes, which was well below my target time of 1:45. Felt great all the way and the Chi Running tips you gave worked really well, helped me concentrate on form when things got hard, imagined myself being towed by my Dantian to the finish for the last 1k. Thanks a lot and I'll be back for more in October Paul Lowe

I spent my morning with Gray Caws, my Chi Running instructor, for another enlightening session, good fun and great tips on how to run in a sensible way without any pain. Richard Hennebert – 4 August  2013

The main reason I am emailing you is to say thank you. Since the last time I saw you I have been trying to walk with a straighter right foot and the pain in my knee has totally gone! You spotted what half a dozen physios didn't! And I am now able to walk and run pain free for the first time in 2 years! Sam Lloyd – July 2013

After Gray Caws' post I was inspired to go on a Chi Running course today. Anne Rossbottom posting on, Sat 18 May

A really interesting, useful and enjoyable day. Thank you Gray ” Elizabeth Hill, Chi Running Workshop 21 April 2013

I attended your workshop a few months ago and used loads of your tips at the London Marathon last Sunday. I managed to make it round and recovering well. Thank you!” Sharon Greaves, 24 April 2013

I've improve my running a lot thanks to Gray Caws. It is amazing how much you can improve your running form with just small changes in your body. With Gray's help I'm now able to run much longer and my achilles tendon problem due to barefoot running transition disappeared, just by changing my position when running a little bit . I really believe this is the sort of thing every running should know.” Pablo Rodriguez, Running Costabrava Guide, 24 April 2013

Thank you so much for your help. You really made a difference to our training and I wouldn’t be feeling this good now if it wasn’t for Chi Running” Faye Gerrard on completing the London Marathon, 21 April 2013

...[Chi Running techniques have] definitely made a difference. Can do 8 miles without any back pain now and my posture and arm swing has improved. Still working on getting technique right but visualisations you gave help me to remember – thank you! Jen Ormerod – Chi Running Workshop, 17 February 2013

A great session this afternoon. It was hugely enlightening whilst providing me with a focus for improvement. Thank you! – Alex Hilton, 08 March 2013

Having previously read the book, the course was invaluable in fine tuning my technique, and having Gray`s individual attention meant that I gained the confidence to apply the system immediately. – Ted Evans, One-day Chi Running Workshop, 23 February 2013

Am tired now, but have realised that I've never once ached after going out for a run since I've been training with you – how good is that! – Emma Ross, 20 February 2013

Thanks for a great day, Gray. I thought the core muscle exercises we did were excellent. Chris Fielding –, Chi Running workshop 25 November 2012. Read Chris's blog on the day

Thank you so much for the introductory session last night – I loved how much easier running felt after only 1 hour with you! Emma Ross, free Introduction to Chi Running session 07 November 2012.

Hi Gray. As you know I ran the Run to the Beat half marathon yesterday. I need to tell you my calfs and hip flexors are normal today. I can WALK normally. I'd say that is all down to my Chi Running technique! I am impressed! – Sharon Gibbons 29 October 2012

Ran the Run to the Beat half marathon yesterday in a little under 1:44 ...thanks for the training. – Richard Turner 29 October 2012

I knocked seven minutes off my 10 mile PB from two years ago applying Chi Running techniques and staying relaxed. Pretty pleased! I was able to consciously lean forward from the ankles to speed up mid race rather than put more effort in. – Kevin Chamberlain 23 October 2012

I went for my usual 30 min run today in my Vibram FiveFingers and applied the techniques you showed me. It was the easiest and most energy-efficient run I have done. No calf strain or soreness at all. I enjoyed listening to my body and working on my technique as I ran, always aware of the principles of Chi Running. I am sure it was far from perfect but it made a difference, especially running at a much higher cadence. I look forward to refining my technique and seeing where it takes me.Mark Stevenson, Chi Running workshop 29 September 2012

Amazing!... yesterday, I shaved a minute of my previous 10k PB coming 9th in 38:57 ...Chi Running made a huge difference. I’m really thrilled. Looking forward to our next session and thanks so much for all your help so far.Chris Healy 25 August 2012

Just had extremely enjoyable and instructive personal training session with Gray. Highly recommended. Inspirational! Lucy, Fitmums and Friends running club 12 March 2012

Gray was very professional, came across really well and had the class focussed throughout. He planned and executed the session really thoroughly and I am looking forward to attending the next session. Julia Clark, running workshop 12 February 2012

Gray was very thorough and detailed in teaching good posture and running form, and made it all feel very natural. He gave us lots of good individual feedback and guidance and there was plenty of practice so that we could get into the flow. I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to practicing the techniques more. Thanks for a great day! – Tom Shepherd, running workshop 12/2/2012

Thanks again for the ChiRunning introduction course last week Gray… PB 1:19:46 in the Fred Hughes 10 mile this morning despite the hills. Richard Turner, running workshop 14 January 2012

I wish there were more accomplished professionals like Gray Caws — enthusiastic and very easy to listen to. Participant at running workshop 20 November 2011
